Rehearsals Should
Be For Practicing Music
NOT For
Learning Notes
Most choir and choral singers don't have
the keyboard skills to effectively practice their music on their
own. So they have to learn the notes at rehearsals and those
rehearsals become a note-learning exercise rather than a worthwhile
practice period. Unless singers are great sight readers or the music
is very simple, home study just doesn't happen.
There is a solution!
At Note-Able we provide custom designed,
part-emphasized music files, which can be played on a CD player, an
mp3 device or a computer. These voice part specific music
files give singers the ability to have accurate accompaniment
at home. An alto can listen to her recording and hear the alto part
above all others while the other parts are in the background to
provide harmonic context and musical continuity. The sopranos,
tenors and basses as well each have their own part-emphasized
version of the same music.
The next rehearsal will be a real
practice session because everyone will already know their notes!
(and the tricky rhythms and the close harmonies)
Gone are the days of avoiding certain
music because the note learning period would take too long.
Forget the dread of doing a performance
when there just wasn't time to really perfect the music because too
much time had been spent learning notes.
Imagine the joy of developing a piece of
music to its full potential because the rehearsals were devoted to
practicing rather than note learning.
Note-Able delivers this opportunity
for ANY music you want to perform, not just the "old chestnuts"
that are now available from other sites. We can help turn
under-rehearsed, amateur singers into a confident chorus which will
WOW their audience with every performance.
